I've been a fan for a long long time! I'm 65. When I first heard this song it hit me deep down inside. I don't know why, it just did. I listen to this song all the time and while Amy has produced and sang some amazing songs in her career this one just sticks with me! Her voice transcends all the noise and hate and discord I feel right now. It carries me away to a better place. This is, in my opinion, one of her greatest songs she's ever come up with and I want them to play this for me when they lay me in the ground for the last time! Yah, it means that much to me! My heart is broken for our country and it hurts because I can remember when life was so much simpler!

I get chills every time Amy says "sweet sleep my dark angel." Her voice is absolutely beautiful!

This reminds of the resurgence of 2003 Fallen era...when Linkin Park was also dominating the charts. An incredible balance of synth, , guitars, and distinctive drums. I especially love Amy's faded-out long note near the end. Haunting, lingering, and totally makes the song definitely a stand out. Amy's voice is a force of nature, and a soothing presence on ballads. She is proving her voice is strong as ever, better than many male rock vocalists.

This girl is a legend

I was once in love with a very lost soul.
I felt it was my calling, my destiny, to be a nest of safety. To be a way of light to this person who had grown up surrounded by so much darkness.
Who could only see the rest of the world through the lens of his unhealed hurt.

Back then, I would have given my soul to save him because I thought that’s what loving someone meant..
In return, he introduced me to hell.. and I nearly lost that same soul that I would have traded for his.

It was not love, it was trauma

But I came across this song. Through many of my own tears I finally gain the strength to walk away as I realized

Amy Lee is extremely underrated. I mean, most people will say the names of big artist more popularly known as being legends in the music industry such as Mariah Carey, Madonna, Beyonce, Whitney Houston & so on & so forth.. But you rarely ever hear the name Amy Lee being referenced into that category when we SHOULD hear her name. I've never heard anyone like her before and I believe she should get more recognition. She will always be a legend to me. 🖤

I don’t care how old evanescence songs are I love all of them

Amy lee has gotten me through depression. Such a difference listening to them then till now. I’ve grown spiritually and hearing these songs don’t make me cry those same tears anymore. I’m just happy I overcame them.

This and many more Evanescence songs are what get me through my depression. Thank you for your music, I can't count how many times your music has saved my life. <3
