I loved k-pop demon hunters SO much. I do feel like the significance may have been lost due to the decline of media literacy and the commercialization of a rightfully popular movie. From my understanding, having the world basically unite under with hon-moon (I am going off of memory) to keep the demons at bay. Then, having the king of demons basically be insecurities (INNER demons) be the main antagonist who tempts people into giving in and committing sins (basically going against their own values) was pure genius to me. Everyone UNITING with MUSIC, and just keeping those inner insecurities at bay (the demons) was pure gold. Like wow.

The undeniable that I do not doubt that their plans would work if they existed...

The animators really knew part of this is the visuals as well, the animation is so well done that you might rewatch just to see subtle details like expressions and body movement.
It really feels like they are trying to enslave you by putting on a spectacle.
I don’t know, I just think the animators did a really good job too.

Love the fact that halfway through the performance, Gwi-Ma realizes that the song is working and vibes along by becoming the pyro effects

What cracks me up is we see a lot of scenes of the girls writing music and practicing, which is great, because it does in fact show they are doing "work" here and not just magically conjuring their songs and choreography out of nothing.

However, when this logic is applied to the Saja Boys...well, yeah. This implies the Saja Boys are also practicing and writing songs and stuff too, which is absolutely hilarious to imagine them practicing this routine before unveiling it lol

Even though Golden takes most of people's top spot, I still insist this is the best song on the OST. The clever critique of pop and idol culture, is like a serious version of "Repeat Stuff" by Bo Burnham, but there's some seriously clever lyric evolution as the song becomes more "mask off" changing after the bridge. With the final chorus "I can be the star you rely on" becomes "Watch me set your world on fire" , "Don't you know I'm here to save you?" becomes "No one is coming to save you" and "I'm all you need" becomes "You're down on your knees". This is just an amazing song.

Dudes! Did you see that medium shot starting at 1:11? How the rapper's hand comes close to the camera and comes out of focus? This would be very natural for a regular DSLR camera, but in animation you have to calculate and do it _on_ _purpose!_ That's another level of skill right there!

Btw i just realized that they're referring to themselves as "idols" as in not only someone you look up to but literal OBJECTS OF WORSHIP and commanding you to give ur soul like a grim reaper lol. Its a really cool detail in the song

What absolutely TERRIFIES me is how perfect this is. The team that made this movie must have done EXTENSIVE research into the music, lyrics, the visuals. They researched what makes people like kpop boy bands so much. They know what we LIKE. Should I stop watching this? Yes. But will I?
