As a parent the mere thought of losing your child is absolutely gut wrenching. I cannot imagine the amount of tears that were shed on that man’s guitar writing this for his baby boy.

I am missing my mom who passed away when i was 11 and I am missing her very much.

How are you Mr. Clapton. How do you get by missing your son... as I miss my daughter. I wrote a little tune for her too, but it's between her and I I guess, I'm not a worthy writer or singer as you are. Although I do sing in church... I love this song for my daughter and I . Her nickname was "Angel"! God speed my friend... please always be my friend??? I am 74 yrs. old, and I'm still pretty healthy, but I wish I wasn't so I could be with my Angel now too! Thank you for this song.. It does help sometimes. God speed my friend.. God bless... I hope one day I will see you in heaven also if I make it... :) and if I'm lucky one day we shall meet in heaven.. or on earth would also be nice. Our children are probably together playing... Mr. Clapton, it never fails that your song brings tears to my eyes. My little girl past away of crib death at five months old, and she was my life. I lost my son and my husband both in less than 6 months. My husband and I went to many Eric Clapton concerts so his musics holds very special memories for me. And now I ask myself if they will know me when I go to Heaven. Heaven is a beautiful place. That I am sure of.
