50 synchronizedI made my first walkthrough using this Video Tutorial.
1This is better video about this topic than any other in 2025 ❤
7This is excellent ! I can see you are a perfectionist in your craft. Thanks for being honest, direct, straightforward, and to the point. It is greatly appreciated. Keep up the good work!
3Also, what i do for someone who's a kid and understands the game like my front hand. I record gameplay on ps5, and use sharefactory for editing cause i just do it dashie style. Not much editing. then when im done. I let my video clip go to my ps app.
0Then use VLLO to mesh those clips into one video thats over 1 hour long cause ps5 and 4 wont let you go past 1 hour of gameplay. Then i save it to my gallery. Go to yt. Then click my gallery and upload it😊
Watching this in 2024 and its still very informative. Great Video!!
0This by chance popped up in my recommended and the part about the “walkthroughs” just being playthroughs because people are just playing through the game still happens to this day, I only know 1 other YTuber that does actual walkthroughs, I’m going to enjoy watching your vids
3can you alsso make no commentary Walkthrough gameplays?
0rare thing seeing trackmania games on the desktop
0Yeah i made a few walkthrough video. Its alot of work. Its not easy at all. I only do it for the love of the game.
0How do you add yourself on video overlay explaining what you’re doing?
0So with this coming out almost 6 years ago and looking back at step 2, what would you say your thoughts are about someone like theRadBrad? Because he doesn’t play the game before hand and to your standard he does playthroughs instead of “walkthroughs” but has gotten extremely successful over the years. So sound step 2 be updated or is theRadBrad just an anomaly
0Good
0Thank You!
0yo, when is the next video?
09:48 I tend to pause a lot when I'm recording myself but I've found it easy enough to cut the pauses out when edit so I don't have to be too perfect when I'm doing the commentary.
4Wow fantastic guide! Even 7 years later, all these principles still hold true today!
7God I miss Hango
1Thanks for the tip, now with all these instructions a new Gaming channel will be born.
1A lot of people should watch this before making walkthroughs.
7Nowadays, the people are like "Hey! I have a fraps and I have the game. So, I will just record and upload it. hehe..."
I mean I hope people who are making quality walkthrough will increase...
Thanks for this video 😊😊😊
Dec 29, 2016: School of Halo 2, Episode 2 comes out.
0Everyone within a week: When’s episode 3 coming out?
Jan 6, 2018: School of Halo 2, Episode 3 comes out.
Everyone within a week: When’s episode 4 coming out?
Me in 2021:
omg this time you need just your phone ..huh that was sooooo hard that time i think so
0Oh god
1Love and respect to you ❤️
Yo this video helped thank you because I want to make walkthrough just like theradbrad and play every video game thank you for this video it really helped👍
4Where can I purchase hango? Sounds like a great game.
110:57 "As you may be able to imagine, this is not easy."
1So you edit your videos on Legendary difficulty too huh?
On a more serious note, this is great advice for anyone who wants to make a walkthrough.
There's even a concrete strategy for halo God dammit.
1This feels very retro hearing “we are in the 2010s people”
7Thanks for the video. I always wondered how gaming and the commentary is all done. Now I see why TMartin never loses a battle ha editing
1Usually im just using walkthroug games everyweek
1Hey Hokie, given what you’ve said in this video and others about the time and effort that goes into making videos like your legendary walkthroughs and your School of HALO series, how does the HALO series stay fun for you?
1you don't need a capture card if on pc cause items like steps recorder or movari are your capture card on pc and mobile
0Wow. Interesting. Do corporate video story boarding and proofing so understand how long even a few seconds takes
2love this game new enemy -.- but it's a cool game + i like Bad Ice Cream 3 on hudgames
0I use NVIDIA Geforce Experience to record. At 1080p 60Hz
0oh wow, u make it sound so fun!
0Who is Destry ???
0Thanks for the video
0Just one more question i was thinking to do my first walkthrough on the new spider-man game or lets play but i've played Assassin's creed more and have been a lover of assassin's style so should i make walkthrough on latest assassin's creed game?
0Hey man i wanted to know that PS4 PRO has its own video capturing software right? When it you buy it everything is there and to edit the video you can buy software whatever you reqment but my question is can't you just record with PS4 recorder?
0What you said about editing out parts where you either die or revert back to a checkpoint is fair, but, at the same time, it’s also an opportunity to both explain and visualize examples of poor decisions. It will make your walkthroughs longer and disrupt the flow of the campaign for sure. But, to me, the educational value of seeing how poor decisions play out and having it explained to me is more important. If I’m watching a walkthrough, I’m doing it because I want to learn strategy and technique. Odds are, I’ve already played the game on an easier difficulty and know the story. So, I don’t need to re-experience it in a walkthrough.
6Them turtle beach headsets are lit👌
0When's the next video?
1The commentary takes: I haven't laughed so hard in a long time!
17i am playing halo since it came out ( even becore i got an xbox myself ) and i am an pvp god. but campaign ( and firefight ) is a complete different story and even thought i already played evry campaign on legendary. i started to replay them on the mcc ( for archivments and the experience again ) i came to your channel pver act man where you discussed why halo 2 legendary is so brutal. honestly some of the tricks etc that i saw you do helped me to die a ton less and make legendary more enjoyable ( though i still prefer for fun heroic because its more balanced and leaves more freedom of what to do to the player but legendary is a nice chalange ) i am looking forward to someday try laso at the moment it seems almost imposible for me but i am sure a guid of you will help. funny thing that campaign / pvp are so different. i mean pvp feels like i could play with my feet and blind against top players but laso feels like rape ....
1btw do you watch major slack
0Back in the day cnet (wasn't it download .com at one point? idk) use to be a pretty good site. Nowadays, it's an advertisement filled shit show.
3Your Halo walkthroughs are legendary. When I first discovered your channel about 2 years ago it made me do a legendary playthrough of each game after a long time. The only one I never finished was Halo 1 because it was just way too hard haha. Keep up the awesome work bud 👍
1Hokie this is a very clear and well made video, I wish I could use that but sadly I will have to use my iPad for recording as I am just making videos for fun, LOL! Maybe one day I could perhaps buy a capture card!
3Great information for those of us who are just starting out. Now the only tweak i should say is to make options for those of us who actually can't afford certain equipment. Its 2017 and people are still underpaid.
1Great video. I just started capturing for youtube and have yet to add commentary. Still learning. Is there a quicker way to sort through recorded footage? Here is my current dilemma. I am playing through some very hard modes where I will be dying MANY times again and again. Im using the avermedia LGP device. I can press a button to record, press again to end it and create a seperate file.
0That helps with isolating successful segments. However, Ive been getting up and editing on the PC as soon as I finish a hard part to save the trouble of sorting through tons of files later. Is there a way to make it easy to pick out and identify these successful run files? A good method to use. I dont really want to make a seperate file after EACH death. So Ive just been recording the raw footage. Going through hours of raw footage would take very long. GOM video player doesnt even have a preview window so it makes it even more tedious. Any suggestions?
