0Are we the baddies?
I started in Beta. Have been playing on and off ever since. I made my initial money through lots of bounty hunting, then made my fortune mining which has left me in a position to never have to worry about money again. Ironically I am now having more fun as a result, I transitioned to exploration for a while with my Asp and managed to get to Beagle Point etc. Made an absolute fortune in exploration data when I finally got back to the bubble.
0WoW thanks for this great video, makes me more excited to get inot Elite
0That's a great overview for beginners! A whole lot packed into 12 mins.
0I'm a returning player after years and years away and your channel is being a godsend!!
0I saw more and more of these videos pop up. Been thinking about getting into it kinda late, but hoping for something new and different.
0Honestly, looks fun
Thank you!
0I heard of this game a few weeks ago. I was a little hesitant, because of the learning curve. But i'll take the leap and buy it. ill be coming back to your videos for guidance
0friendly greetings
I know a little sentence at the end, but what can I do on a planet? Can you land "now" on every planet? There was an add-on before Odysee; now it's part of the main game, right? What's that about?
0you gotta make a updated mining tutorial!!! its been a bit since you posted and your tutorials are always the best, i got the type 11 prospector and idk how i should outfit it
0Bro, thank you for this! I've got the hang of flying now, and landing and stuff. but this is JUST what i was looking for to get more interactive with the game. Thank you.!
1I have no clue what I’m doing
67Makes me wanna play again
1I have been playing for so long yet I will always come to watch the newest tutorials
1I might have about 900 hours in the game, but I also haven't played it in like... 6 years. So a beginner guide is definitely needed. xD
2Getting into the game for the first time today, definetly going with explorer. Also im curious, but what are the song titles of the music used in the vid? Good tunes
1"when you're ready to go, laucn your ship". bro, the tutorial dumped me into a space station with no combat missions and unable to access any elevators. how do I even get to my ship?
112:30 sometimes, even the best players just need a little refresher on the fundamentals
1Gotta verify you're a reliable source. Not sending newbies to learn pointers from a troll. You did well. Highly recommended.
0Commander Jameson back in the seat.
0Bro in the past few days I've played only a few hours but ive enjoyed doing some hauling and putting on music to relax
0I started a year ago and was deeply invested in the game for several months, now I want to return again but I remember I’m very very far away from the Bubble in my Mandalay on a journey to Sagittarius A and I’m scared I do something stupid while I get used to the controls again lol
0Would it be possible to go into like exploration but maybe dabble in the others later?
0Also is it still recommended to have weapons in the non combat roles for self defense?
Theres also the uh cruise liner/Taxi path, if you just want to drive from point a to point b
0watching this as the second's count down on the download. so thankyou for the introduction!
0Thanks for this, I played E:D on launch, I wanna say about 8 years ago? And then I played some more in VR at some point, but I never really got anywhere with it, apart from a bit of bounty hunting and some missions. This is a useful guide, I've literally forgotten everything about the game.
0Huge sale on this game right now. Really tempted to buy. Any pros and cons I should consider?
0After tutorial, i tried one courier job, succeed. Then at station use auto launch exit, i thought everything should be auto, 5 minute timed out, got fined, get anonymous status, can't do anything....
0As someone with 1000s of hours in the game and billions of credits, did i need to watch a starting guide? no. but did i watch it? yes! You sir are an amazing content creator with a lot of useful information.
4Bought the game a while back but never really got into it, but decided to try again. Tried some bounty hunting first, quickly spotted a wanted ship but by the time I got close enough to engage it had been taken out by security, then the same happened 2 more times before there suddenly weren't any more wanted ships, with no new wanted ships appearing for a good 15 minutes. Went to another spot but none there either. Not sure if it was a bug or I missed something, but I figured, "hell, lets try trading instead". Checked the map, there was good trade between the system I was in and a neighboring one. Couldn't remember which station I had been to already so went to the biggest in the system first just to be safe. Upon arriving I entered auto dock mode, glancing at the second screen to look at this video and check if I'd forgotten anything, only to hear the sounds of crashing as the auto dock had made me crash into the station (I double checked, I was indeed in auto dock mode, as it proceed to scrape past the side of the station before actually taking a sensible route to the docking bay without any input from me), I only took minimal damage so didn't think much off it. Configured my ship for cargo hauling and set off to the other system, got there and back without any issue having picking up some very valuable personnel weapons. But once i arrived to sell the cargo I found that I was in "Anonymous Access Protocol", googled how to fix that, but found that it said I had no bounty. Had to reset the game to be allowed to pay my bounty and trade, and apparently by that point the station no longer wanted my cargo. I'm sure there was at least some user error somewhere in there but it certainly didn't make my second attempt at getting into this game a pleasant one. Once the irritation has passed I might give it another go, see if I can't find a place to sell my cargo. But, yeah, the guide was good and told me all I needed to know, but the game just didn't want to cooperate.
3I see the Cobra 3 is shown in all activities. also, it is not super expensive, is it that good fora polyvalent choice in early game?
0This is fantastically helpful, thank you.
0In no uncertain terms, I am a trader at heart. I love the 9-5 grind that I can spend happily at home, in the air conditioning, all whilst helping out the communities trade.
0Pirates come to raid? Oh well, they got some good stuff and I got to do it all again!
The monotony is my favourite part lmao
Dude well done :))
0🔥 video
about the "roads to riches", when you're using a detailed surface scanner instead of the vss, one should get even more money out of it.
0Didn't check your newer videos yet. Did you already go over the details about why a planet scan can be worth more or less money than others?
And about your question in the end: Been offline for some time and am currently trying to get back into the game. Some things were easy to remember (the controls; my old config still seems to work) but I forgot most of the stuff I rarely used. In addition there were some updates so a thing or two might be different (last time I played colonies weren't a thing for example)
Hey mate! Thank you so much for your guide.
1I'm into trading and trying it out soon. Can you tell my why you only recommend SCO on PC?
As a more experienced player i sometimes watch these so i know how to teach my friends how to play since i sometimes forget what needs to be pointed out :)
2I'm an ED Veteran. Good video and advice. You get the OG ribbon. Listen to this guy newbies. xD
0i watch this as a refresher, i havent played elite since horizons came out
0I will give Frontier credit... I avoided this game for a long time, hearing from everyone about how complicated it is. When I finally tried it, I was impressed with how well their tutorial prepares you for at least the very basics of how to get around, get jobs, and do stuff. That said, the finer details are pretty hard to discern, even from the pilot's handbook, so I'm glad I discovered your content. I was afraid I was going to have to watch 10-year-old videos, but you do a great job balancing quality and brevity. You earned a new subscriber.
0I'm glad I finally tried this game, for the record. I almost immediately fell in love, this game seems almost tailor-made for me!
Thank you for making a guide that is helpful and not filled with childish obscenities.
1I never liked combat until I got some VR goggles. It's amazing in VR. Still prefer mining and listening to a podcast though.
1I pre-ordered this game years ago but never got to grips with it I had it on PC in 1992 but didn't know the controls as there was no internet back then lol. Tonight I'll be re-installing. Thanks 😍
0I just started playing Elite Dangerous and I blow up two ships and ran out off fuel in the first six hours but I finally docked and it felt so satisfying. I love this game.
6VERY excellent guide!!! Tysm for it!
0Just finally figured out how to mine, just been trading only. Once an NPC pirate scans you and they find nothing, do they return or are you clear for the duration?
1Thank you for this I’m new an dint know about any of this lmao
0So like i just did the missions and got millions id recommend just doing transport missions for money and then you can expand your play style going for the .I’m type 9 heavy in a couple of days been playing on pc for a week now, started on the ps4 years ago its good to be back
1Ive been off and on playing for about 5-8 years, im watching to make sure the guide is good to send to my buddy sonce he started playing a few hours ago
1I stopped playing years ago. Buuuut I'm about to get back into it.
