So, basically your advice is to allow every setting that allows google to spy on us...

Thank you.

Secure my phone by allowing Google to track it everywhere. Wow, bro you might need to look up what "secure" means.

@YukiWolf66

Some of these are huge breaches of your privacy.

4:06 So, can anyone who knows my phone number and that I have this feature enabled just go to the website and keep locking my phone, then? 🤔🤔🤔

@NR-nf1il

My phone will usually ask for a password when I shut it down but it doesn't do it all the time. I find that problematical.

@NR-nf1il

I tried Theft Protection on my older phone and it messed up my older phone so I don't think I'll be doing that on my new phone

@btbam666

is it just me or does the finger print scanner absolutely suck with a screen protector on? my 6a was better than this

HELP! I made changes based on this video. Before that the phone would lock when I hit the power button. Now the device won't lock when I hit the power button! I rewatched to try to figure out what I can do changed to cause this and can't find it. Any help would be appreciated.

The should be a feature were your phone locks itself with a different password, pin or biometric in the event where you are forced to remove your password at gunpoint or something.

My 22,000 rupees/254 dollar realme( sub brand of oppo) literally has a security feature which when turned on will not allow the control centre to scroll down when device is locked and will require to put in the password ( not the biometric,even though it has fingerprint scanner) it requires the password to perform any actions such as restart or power off. All these features along with the android theft protection. Not that there is anything to steal from a 250 dollar phone but nevertheless its a neat and simple feature as far as device protection is concerned

Guys, i very much appreciate your contents, I am a long time subcriber, but in 2025 can we please add chapters/bookmars in the timeline? thans!

@ricardobarron3591

All this won't work if it is not standardized to ask the password before turning off or restarting the device
Just Samsung is doing it right

Aren't all of these security methods turned on when we use the new device security?

@NZKeithEades

I have six devices showing on Find Hub app, but only the phone appears on the web. It's flagged to sync with my email. The web version needs further work.

GrapheneOS all the way!

@Whitwolf1975

Emergency contacts should be default when setting up a phone. Found a random phone at work the other day, had no idea who it belonged to and it had no emergency contacts. Basically became bin food once flat.

@ZeroDay_000

In lockdown mode, does it prevent access to the pull down menu?

0
@SergioAlejandroBoudet

Make videos in Spanish. I love the news, but I'm not good at English.

0
@nahpets2345

The theft protection sometimes triggers by itself when I pick up my phone too fast... Too annoying!

2
@dinotjardin991

The thing I do not like about using Advanced Protection is that it defaults your spam protection to screen unknown callers instead of just the maximum screen calling so the phone still rings and you are asked to screen the call yourself

Phone brands should add fingerprint/ or face recognition for viewing phone number of saved contact. Like if give my unlocked phone to someone, he/she can easily see anyone's number.

@LarySmith-d4l

Pin scramble is an absolute must pixel is lazy for not implementing this feature.

@singular9

Also uninstall "Android Privacy Core" or whatever its called. Its literally spyware that uses SWYS (See what you see) tech.

a much needed feature needed is that, " NO ACCESS TO SLIDE DOWN NOTIFICATION BAR ON LOCK SCREEN"

@MohdNizar-t2z

What about the data we have read?

0
@NotoriousRawDogger

No native app lock on pixel devices. Google is 5 years behind

"You should enable Play Protection"

@toshankharumnuid

One basic feature missing from Pixel devices is the ability to prevent the use of the notification control center if the phone is locked.
Eg, if the phone is remote locked, someone could still swipe down the control center and turn off wifi/internet connectivity and there goes your chance of locating the device

@jejunamja

Great video! Thanks for putting in effort making it

1
@JamChua

pixel should add a feature that phone must require password before reboot or shutdown
