for the individual apps location access i find not giving "Precise Location" is good for a app to get your general area but not exactly following you good for say a Weather app where it will then know the town/area your in but not the exact address

another privacy feature that deserves some coverage if you pay gor icloud you also have access to iCloud private relay as well

Great video, thank you! I didn’t know RCS did not include E2EE, I hope they will work on that soon. It doesn’t make sense to leave SMS behind if it is for an other non-protected protocol. Also, for those who do not feel like upgrading to iOS 18 yet, please install the latest iOS 17.7 update (patches security issues) 😉

Great info as usual - Personally, Under *Privacy and Security => Location Services => System Services* , I also switch the *Status Bar Icon* to On, so I can see when an app is using location services. That way if I see the location service icon, and I'm not using anything that should need it, I can look to see if something changed, or added

I happened to have my settings set up the same. Even though I’m fairly tech savvy there’s something I haven’t figured out with the bringing Devices together to share contact info. How much of info is swapped? I have more than one phone number,several emails and other stuff on my contact card. I don’t want it all shared. It be nice just to share what info you want to share from it. I don’t have a way to test it with only one phone but will probably never use it anyways.
