i remember i was a kid when my momma played this for me, almost 10 years ago, 2 weeks ago she overdosed at 42 n im only 18, we were estranged n i never got to say goodbye , this song reminds me of her beautiful soul... ill always love you momma, RIP Giselle <3

My daughter passed away from a drug overdose on June 27, 2023. Sadly, this song describes the final years of her life. Finally, my baby girl is at peace now.

I had just come out of rehab and played this song CONSTANTLY to get me through that dark time. Never touched that horrible crap ever again, and I'm 12 1/2 years sober. This song pulled me through all of that and have been a huge fan since ❤

The song has deeper meaning. For those who don’t know. Ed was in homeless shelters when he was younger and this songs about a girl named Angel that he knew. She was a prostitute who was addicted to drugs. “Angels to fly”

This song hits so hard , reminds me of a highschool friend who graduated top of our batch and finish college with flying colors from our country's top university. Sadly , a year after graduating he passed away due to heart attack. His someone who came from a very poor family which was his driving force to be on top. To cope with the pressure he abused alcohol and become a smoker , took so much toll on his body and little does his family know he had been suffering from lung cancer by the time he graduated. I guessed maybe God doesn't want him to suffer more and maybe his mission on Earth was completed already. I want to think as well that he is now an angel beside God

This is one of his most underrated songs. People think of "Perfect" or "Shape of you" when they think of Ed Sheeran, when they honestly should think of this song, it's amazing.

I am an ex meth addict. This is the only song that brings brings my mind back to where it needs to be.. whenever I get a craving to do anything stupid I watch this video and listen to THIS song and it’s the ONE thing that gets through my head and reminds me what I will NEVER go back to... one of my favorite songs.. but living this kind of life watching the video I’m prepared to cry.

i know no one will see this but i've had a really bad year. This was the first proper song i ever learnt as a child, and i never understood the video clip but i always watched it. My mum left me and this, this is the only thing that reminds me of her. I love her so much even tho i shouldn't. My birthday wish is always for her to come back. I just want my mum back.

I honestly really need to get this off my chest. 10 years ago, songs used to be so 'real' like she will be loved by maroon 5, love the way you lie by rihanna, eminem and skylar grey, the a team by ed sheeran and so on... what happened? Where are the songs describing real life struggles and sacrifices and emotions? Where are the songs that actually made it seem like you were listening to a piece of art, poems almost? It seems it got downhill after 2016 and now it feels we hit rock bottom. Also with the social media, instagram etc dominating life so much and people aiming for those 'perfect' lifestyles, musicians trying to make bops about sex and fun. What happened to the simpler times when we didn't compare our lives as much and put our struggles into words?
I miss it and i didn't realize times could change this much...
