16better than thick of it.
63Sick of it is better than thick of it
20I'm in the thick of it, everybody knows
7They know me where it snows, I skied in and they froze
I don't know no nothin' 'bout no ice, I'm just cold
Forty somethin' milli' subs or so, I've been told
I'm in my prime and this ain't even final form
They knocked me down, but still, my feet, they find the floor
I went from living rooms straight out to sold-out tours
Life's a fight, but trust, I'm ready for the war
Woah-oh-oh
This is how the story goes
Woah-oh-oh
I guess this is how the story goes
I'm in the thick of it, everybody knows
They know me where it snows, I skied in and they froze
I don't know no nothin' 'bout no ice, I'm just cold
Forty somethin' milli' subs or so, I've been told
From the screen to the ring, to the pen, to the king
Where's my crown? That's my bling
Always drama when I ring
See, I believe that if I see it in my heart
Smash through the ceiling 'cause I'm reachin' for the stars
Woah-oh-oh
This is how the story goes
Woah-oh-oh
I guess this is how the story goes
I'm in the thick of it, everybody knows
They know me where it snows, I skied in and they froze (woo)
I don't know no nothin' 'bout no ice, I'm just cold
Forty somethin' milli' subs or so, I've been told
Highway to heaven, I'm just cruisin' by my lone'
They cast me out, left me for dead, them people cold
My faith in God, mind in the sun, I'm 'bout to sow (yeah)
My life is hard, I took the wheel, I cracked the code (yeah-yeah, woah-oh-oh)
Ain't nobody gon' save you, man, this life will break you (yeah, woah-oh-oh)
In the thick of it, this is how the story goes
I'm in the thick of it, everybody knows
They know me where it snows, I skied in and they froze
I don't know no nothin' 'bout no ice, I'm just cold
Forty somethin' milli' subs or so, I've been told
I'm in the thick of it, everybody knows (everybody knows)
They know me where it snows, I skied in and they froze (yeah)
I don't know no nothin' 'bout no ice, I'm just cold
Forty somethin' milli' subs or so, I've been told (ooh-ooh)
Woah-oh-oh (nah-nah-nah-nah, ayy, ayy)
This is how the story goes (nah, nah)
Woah-oh-oh
I guess this is how the story goes

5It sounds even better in 2024.
16Sick Of It is one of Rise’s best songs for 2 reasons.
6801. It’s just generally a good song. The beat is strong, the vocals are spectacular and that ending is such a conclusion.
2. It’s message. Sick of depression, sick of being powerless, sick of not having a word in it. This is such a powerful song to listen to if you’re going through tough times because of how DAMN RELATABLE IT IS. We’ve all had our tough times of despair, hatred and thoughts of suicide, so let’s all raise our hands and rock our heads to this wonderful song.
Like if you still love this group in 2024.
65Skillet in my opinion is the best Christian rock band! I would love to go to a concert!
124This song is so nostalgic
29June 10th four years ago I got sick of it and chose to make a stand. I’m currently in recovery from drugs and in therapy for my mental health.
48I could listen to this song on repeat and never get sick of it
51Even 9 years later I still love skillet
881Yknow what I’m sick of? How no one talks about this band anymore! Skillet for life! 🤘
151Nine years has passed.
474And this song still has a place in my playlist.
Me at 12 years old: woooh go Skillet!
891Me at 17 years old: Skillet will always be my favorite band
Me at 21 years old: Rock on Skillet 🤟
2:03 for the longest time I seriously thought the lyrics were "I'm going to bed!" LOL.
58Also, Skillet is my favorite Christian rock group and their songs have helped me get through dark times in my life. God bless Skillet.
Man.. this song helped me to live through teen years so much.. every time i felt depressed, i would just blast this on repeat..
473Used to listen to this band all the time, then senior year came along with Covid. Fell out of God's grace, and my depression came back. It just wouldn't stop, it came in waves. I was honestly thinking about ending it all. Then I recently rediscovered this amazing band.. This band has saved my life and has brought me back to Christ. Every day is easier to face now. Thank you Skillet for your God-given talent and music. God bless.

When people say that they think all Christian music is classical, I show them this.
2,221I didn’t realize how powerful this song really is until now and I have listened to this song a lot
