I think was like Cliff's "goodbye speech". He left this masterpiece to the world right before his death. Like if this 8 minutes were his last performance of his ability.
We miss you legend.

The song for my funeral xD
66
@juan-ksporty7348
Played at Burton's funeral, 'Orion' is the only instrumental track on 'Master of Puppets' and a song Metallica have rarely performed in its entirety since his death. It opens with Cliff’s atmospheric wah-wah strains, moves into some mid-tempo thrashing and features two bass solos often confused as guitar. The bass-driven interlude in the middle is one of the most haunting musical passages Metallica have ever put to tape.

@godzilla964
Instrumentals are always my favorite part of any metal album. "Moondance" by Nightwish, "The Last of the Wilds" also by Nightwish, "Genghis Khan" by Iron Maiden, "Supertzar" by Black Sabbath, "The Call of Ktulu" and "Orion" from Metallica are some of my all time favorite metal tracks.
